SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) – Three individuals were injured in a shooting incident at a shopping center parking lot on the 10300 block of Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova on Friday evening.

Rancho Cordova Police Officers and Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 8 PM on June 21, 2024. The calls were corroborated by two multiple-round ShotSpotter activations from the location.

Upon arrival, officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, all three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Eyewitnesses provided descriptions of a potential suspect who was seen fleeing in a vehicle. A suspect was subsequently located and detained without incident at a nearby gas station. No arrests have been made as the investigation remains ongoing.
