SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — An armed robbery in the 4500 block of Mack Street has left authorities searching for a suspect who reportedly stole a Bobcat tractor in broad daylight. The incident occurred just before 11:15 a.m. Saturday when officers were called to the scene after the victim was threatened at gunpoint.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, "officers believed the suspect was inside of a residence in the 7500 block of Rubens Parkway." While no suspects are in custody as of yet, the investigation remains ongoing.

The victim, who spoke exclusively with Public Safety News (PSN), described the harrowing encounter. “He pulled the gun on me,” the victim recounted. “He came to me and he asked to charge his phone or something. So I went to the truck to the truck to check the charger or something like that. And then when I looked over, he was on the Bobcat little track machine and he was in the process of taking it.”

The victim attempted to stop the suspect from fleeing with the heavy equipment but was threatened with a firearm. “I ran up to grab him off and he pulled the gun out and was like, ‘What are you gonna do?’”

After the suspect made it clear he was armed, the victim said he relented. "Yeah, so I was like, hey, go ahead, you can have it," the victim said. The suspect then drove the Bobcat down the street before disappearing.

"He had a Glock," the victim added, describing the weapon used in the robbery.

Sacramento police later confirmed that they had not located the suspect inside a nearby residence and have yet to make an arrest. Investigators are actively pursuing leads in this case.

This remains an active investigation. Public Safety News will continue to monitor the situation as it develops.
