SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — A series of illegal sideshows swept across Sacramento from Friday night into early Saturday morning, drawing police response from both city and county jurisdictions, according to officials.

Sacramento Police Department Public Information Officer Anthony Gamble confirmed that the activity began around 9:45 p.m. Friday near 6th Street and Telegraph Road within city limits. The chaos quickly escalated as sideshow participants moved through various locations, including the 5900 block of Stockton Boulevard in the unincorporated county area, followed by Florin Road and Watt Avenue.

At some point during the sideshow events, a bystander was struck by a vehicle involved in the illegal activity. The condition of the individual has not been released.

“It went all over the city and county and into the early morning,” said Officer Gamble. “There were multiple vehicles stopped and at least one pursuit.”

Law enforcement agencies were actively monitoring and attempting to intervene throughout the night. While several enforcement actions were taken, including vehicle stops, further details on arrests or citations have not yet been made available.

Sideshows, often involving vehicles performing stunts such as donuts and burnouts, continue to pose significant risks to public safety. The incidents remain under investigation.

PSN will provide updates as more information becomes available.
