SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — Sacramento police are investigating a shooting that broke out early Friday in Midtown’s Lavender District, near one of the city’s most popular nightclubs.
According to a media release from Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith, officers responded shortly before 2:30 a.m. to the 2000 block of K Street after reports of gunfire.
Evidence of a shooting, including property damage, was located. No victims were reported.
The incident occurred in Kayak Alley, directly behind Faces Nightclub, as patrons were leaving the area following the club’s closing.
Police said an investigation was conducted and a report generated. The case remains active.
