​SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — Sacramento police are investigating a shooting that broke out early Friday in Midtown’s Lavender District, near one of the city’s most popular nightclubs.

According to a media release from Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith, officers responded shortly before 2:30 a.m. to the 2000 block of K Street after reports of gunfire.

Evidence of a shooting, including property damage, was located. No victims were reported.

The incident occurred in Kayak Alley, directly behind Faces Nightclub, as patrons were leaving the area following the club’s closing.

​Police said an investigation was conducted and a report generated. The case remains active.
