Sacramento County, California (PSN)—In Rancho Cordova, a commercial structure fire broke out early Monday morning, November 3rd, prompting a significant firefighting response. According to radio reports, fire crews were dispatched at approximately 2:23 a.m. to the Epoch Casino, located at 11275 Folsom Boulevard.

The first arriving engine reported visible fire on the Delta side of the structure—essentially the right side when facing the building—on both the first and second-floor balconies. Flames were also observed extending into the attic. As firefighters made their way inside, they confirmed that the attic space was involved.

Shortly after, flames broke through the roof, and command staff promptly escalated the incident to a second alarm to bring in additional resources. With the fire spreading through the roof, crews transitioned to a defensive strategy, pulling out of the building and focusing on external containment. By around 4:30 a.m., the situation had stabilized enough to scale back the response to a first alarm, according to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District Public Information Officer, Captain Mark Nuñez.

No injuries have been reported. The casino was boarded up and not in operation, and no individuals were inside at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
