SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Jan. 26, 11:51 p.m.) — Firefighters from the Sacramento Fire Department were dispatched late Monday evening to a residential structure fire in the 700 block of Haggin Avenue in Sacramento's South Natomas area.

Upon arrival, Engine 15 observed heavy flames emanating from the right rear side of the structure. Fire crews discovered that the blaze originated in a converted bedroom within the garage, presenting challenges in accessing the fire. Despite these obstacles, firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and conducted a thorough search of the residence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Heavy smoke was visible at the front door and the eaves of the home upon arrival. After securing the scene, fire crews cleared the area, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional details are currently available.
