​SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — Officers with the Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect early Tuesday following a vehicle pursuit involving a reported stolen car, authorities said.

Police said officers initially responded just before 8:30 p.m. Monday to the 1300 block of T Street for a report of a stolen vehicle.

At about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, officers located the vehicle near 26th and W streets and attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not yield, prompting a pursuit.

During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle near 19th and P streets. The driver of the other vehicle reported pain following the crash.

The suspect continued to flee before striking a pole near 12th Street and Kondos Avenue. After the crash, officers pursued the suspect on foot and took the individual into custody.

Police said the suspect sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. After being medically cleared, the suspect is expected to be booked on related charges.
