SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN)— A bicyclist was killed Friday evening in a collision with a vehicle, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Officers responded just before 8 p.m. to the 2900 block of Del Paso Road for reports of a vehicle vs. bicyclist crash. Upon arrival, an adult male bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel.
Due to the circumstances, detectives from the department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit and crime scene investigators were called to the scene. Authorities said investigators are processing evidence, canvassing the area and interviewing witnesses.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.

The investigation remains ongoing.
